Shane has been with Battleground since it was founded in 1999, prior to Battleground Shane previously worked with the Dr. Russell's in Animal Care Center in Mt. Juliet. Shane has over 15 years of small animal Veterinary experience! Impressive! Shane has many roles at Battleground such as Head Surgical Technician, Kennel Manager as well as Hospital purchaser/inventory manager. In his spare time Shane enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and kayaking as well as spending time with his lovely wife Joy and their two small children Wyatt and Abigail.
Lauren has been with Battleground since 2003. Prior to moving to Tennessee, Lauren previously lived and worked in Philadelphia PA as a Veterinary Technician. Her combined Veterinary work experience spans over 10 years. Lauren has many roles at Battleground such as Head Technician and Hospital Director, she always has the best interest of our patients in mind, along with a strong understanding of the emotions that a pet owner feels when a beloved pet is ill. In her spare time Lauren enjoys outdoor activities, wildlife rehabilitation, reading, writing and spending time with her fiancé Stephen and their multitude of adorable pets!
Kristy has been with Battleground since September 2001. She started at Battleground as a receptionist - back when there were only 3! Kristy later become Office Manager and now is the Hospital Administrator. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BS in Biology and Chemistry (minor). Kristy enjoys traveling, photography, service opportunities, hiking and camping, as well as spending time with her husband Darin, best dog-friend Canyon and son Cody!
